Barn Conversion, Troutbeck
Our brief was to create ancillary accommodation for the main farmhouse from the disused detached 'bank barn'.
The scheme provides a single bedroom with shower room, kitchen, large function space, utility & drying room. Utilising only existing structural openings, simple oak framed windows and doors where used allowing the original building fabric to be clearly read.
Internally, a simple three storey green oak 'tower' provides access to the various internal levels, the shower room and gallery bedroom in the roof space.
